DATABASE AUDIT

Qualifiers:

None

Purpose:

Use this command to verify the current condition of the following system databases: Management Layer (ML) System, ISDN, Applications, IP Networking, and Voicemail (excluding the EMEM data).

NOTES

Details:

You can run this command at any time to verify the current status of the system databases or you can Schedule Database Audits. Database audit is also included in the backup process to prevent the system from backing up incomplete or corrupted data. See Database Verification for details.

The verification is performed on a copy of the database files, which is auto-deleted once the verification is completed.

If an audit finds a corrupted file, the audit process continues until all databases are verified. Once the verification is completed and one or more corrupted files are found, the user is notified through the command system response, appropriate logs and an Audit Failure alarm.

Example:

Entry: DATABASE AUDIT

System Response:

Audit succeeded.
